All shows cancelled? - July 8, 2008
Well, the time has come. Due a recent bad trip financially, combined with unexpected bills in the mail, I am forced to give up all my bookings until further notice.

Well, I can't take the time to try to share my Wahoo experience. It was a great time and I literally "worked my finger to the bone"
My thanks to all the fans who were so nice to me again and thanks to you I sold out the first printing of my "Music From My Heroes" CD.
To you new fans I can only say thank you for your wonderful comments and support. I look forward to seeing you again down the road. Avoca, Iowa?
One experience I do have to share is meeting the legendary performer and Country Music promoter Smokey Smith. I remember seeing all those stars at the Minneapolis Auditorium during the 60's and 70's. My dream was born watching the great artists at those shows and I knew music was what I wanted out of life. He may be older now but he still sings great and has some of the best jokes I've heard in a long time. I must confess I need to steal some! Sorry Smokey, they are too good not to pass along. I was humbled by this wonderful gentleman and cherish the chance to shake his hand after all these years.
I'm off to Lawrence, Kansas and the folks at the Lawrence KOA campground Thursday, then Mason, City. Iowa on July 6th. The owners of this campground have gone out of their way to make me welcome for this 4th of July weekend. Looks like another good time!
Have a great 4th of July but don't forget the reason we celebrate.
